We will cover the law and guidance applicable to this group of young people at all stages of the system including:

  • the availability of Out of Court Resolutions and their criminal records implications ;
  • which Court should deal with the cases of children who turn 18;
  • bail and remand decisions and processes for children on the cusp of turning 18 and those who turn 18;
  • sentencing options for children who turn 18 prior to and during the course of their sentence;
  • notification requirements and turning 18;
  • the rules on reporting restrictions for children and young adults.

Our facilitators are a source of expertise on the law, best practice and how to get outstanding outcomes for children. At these small sessions the facilitator will nurture conversation between the attendees enabling peer learning and rich discussion about the different issues arising around England & Wales.
