This is a device attached to a person’s body that can monitor that they are inside, in a certain area, during the hours of their curfew.
Electronic monitoring can be imposed as a condition of bail, but only if certain conditions are met, which include:
- The defendant is 12 or over;
- The defendant is charged with an imprisonable offence.
