Outcome 22 is an out of court resolution which results in no further action being recorded.
There are two uses for outcome 22. The first is where the police understand that a crime has taken place but following this the suspect has undertaken diversionary, educational or intervention activity and, as a result, it is no longer in the public interest to take any further action. The use of outcome 22 in this way does not require an admission of guilt or an acceptance of responsibility.
The second use for outcome 22 is for the police to record a successfully completed deferred caution.
