Community resolutions are informal out of court resolutions that aim to deal quickly with low-level offending.
They may be given to children where:
- a case is capable of proof;
- an offender has been identified; and
- there is an acceptance of responsibility or
- admission of guilt, in the presence of an appropriate adult.
They correspond to outcome 8 in the Home Office codes.
