People with a communication disorder have problems with speech, language or hearing that make it harder for them to learn or interact with others. 60-90% of young people who commit crimes have a communication disorders.1
People with a communication disorder may need extra help to understand and effectively participate in criminal proceedings, and may be entitled to special measures or modifications.
