Youth Justice Summit 2019
Location: central London
The Youth Justice Legal Centre (YJLC) is hosting the third Youth Justice Summit, bringing together experts in this field. The aim of the Summit is to provide a forum for youth justice lawyers, professionals and academics working in youth justice to share their expertise and knowledge. The Youth Justice Summit is an opportunity to raise standards in youth justice work and for the growing community of expert youth justice lawyers to be properly recognised for their expertise.
In 2018, the theme for the day was Children and the Police and we were delighted to bring together 170 youth justice practitioners including some of the country’s leading authorities on this special area of law.
The Summit has received a very positive feedback:
“Best youth justice conference I have attended in years.” – attendee, 2018
“Just to say I thoroughly enjoyed the day and came away feeling I had learned so much more than what I had expected. I look forward to returning in 2019.” – attendee, 2018
“I cannot see how it could be improved. I’ve been schlepping to these things for 20 years and this one actually felt meaningful and that there are those who really care and go above and beyond to the benefit of us all. They should get far more recognition and reward than they do. So heartening to be in their presence. Whilst the situation faced is so awful, the world is a much better place for such people. A massive thank you to you all.” – attendee, 2018
