A subject access request is the process to get a copy of your police record.
Your police record is information the police have about you. This information includes police intelligence, arrests and criminal allegations where the police take no further action (NFA).
You can make a subject access request to the ACRO Criminal Records Office – it costs £10 but will be free of charge from 25 May 2018.
A subject access request from ACRO will search records from police forces in England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Jersey and the Isle of Man and the British Transport Police. You can also request information from your local police force.
